How to sculpt hair for 3d printing is a frequently asked question through out the time. When I started sculpting I too has so many problems on how to do that properly. Over the past few years of my sculpting career I used this method and try to improve the workflow by using some custom made brushes as well as brushes I found online such as Orbcrack brushes. I recorded this video recently while working on a commissioned project and thought of sharing with you all.

Video quality might have some issues as I’m still learning on how to do these videos my self so bare with me on that. The final detailing part I did using my custom made hair brush has been somehow corrupted while saving so there is only a small part in it but you can grasp the overall process. I’m still shy to do voice over on my videos but I’ll try to do voice over time to come.

some general tips

1. Start with a low resolution to make the base mesh of the main hair
2. Use orb cracks brushes to do some detailing and they are really good on that
3. Try to learn the clumping of hair styles when ever you can by referencing many images

I hope you guys will enjoy and pardon me on any mistakes I do with the video. Any questions please ask in the comment section. And subscribe.
