When I took apart the old iPad1 for the Magic Mirror project (https://youtu.be/ENKhizrCuPU) I managed to salvage the speakers. I've been meaning to put them to good use and I thought it would be good to use them to test out my custom stereo amplifier breakout board.

Thanks to PCBWay for sponsoring this video, PCBWay offer PCB Production, CNC and 3D Printing, PCB Assembly and much much more. You can find their details here: https://www.pcbway.com/

Up until now, I've been using the MAX98537 breakout board from Adafruit for most of my audio projects (see here https://youtu.be/At8PDQ3g7FQ for a good intro to I2S and the board). I decided to create my own breakout board to support stereo output.

To test it out I've created a very simple Bluetooth speaker using A2DP. This is based on the excellent work done by pschatzmann here: https://github.com/pschatzmann/ESP32-A2DP

Really very straightforward to do and a fun project!

You can buy a standard mono amplifier board here - https://amzn.to/3cg88Z5

Soon as I make the updates to my design I'll publish them on PCBWay.
