Excited to share my first of several 3D printing time lapses of my 3 foot tall Baby Groot 3D print project. See the complete 3D print project at at the end of the video. More time lapses to come so please subscribe!

This amazing Baby Groot 3D printer model from Dav88 on Thingiverse is 100% hollow which allowed the entire print to only take 2.5 rolls of wood PLA filament. I split Baby Groot Into 6 pieces for this print. Each of the 6 parts took up my entire 400 x 400 x 400 CR-10 S4 Printing Bed. Finding the right angle to make each 3D printed part fit was likely the most difficult part. Finally, I filament welded each part together using a soldering iron and then sanded and painted. Hope you like him!

How Time Lapse 3D Prints Work
After each .2 MM layer( That is barely thicker than a sheet of paper!) the 3D printer pauses, moves the extruder to the rear of the printer, takes a photo and then continues the print giving the illusion of the print appearing from thin air.
