I have owned a ton of controllers over the years (back to the O.G. Gravis Gamepad) and this is one of my favorites. The only thing that would make this better is enabling the gyro for systems other than the Switch.
Lots of people talk about issues with the buttons being flakey and needing mods, but I have no issues. Glad I got the model closest to the original SNES controller.

I was looking for something more compact that my Xbox controller to play on my phone when traveling. It hardly goes more compact than that, and you still get all the controls.
Battery life seems pretty good, Im not sure how many hours Ive put into it but I still havent drained it. Overall construction feels sturdy.
For long sessions it wont be as comfortable as a full-size controller like the Xbox one, but I was mostly looking for portability, so I wont hold it against it.
More ergonomic handles would make it bulkier.
I was intrigued to get these because I was looking for something with less lag input than my Wii U Pro (which are great controllers for retro gaming) controllers for my Pis using Retropie for gaming.
The design was perfect for use as a retro game pad since the collection I have works great with the button layout I have. I love the 2 extra buttons that register within Mame and Emulation Station.
