I had some Eryone PLA+ left over from reprinting the gimbal parts, so I've decided to finally convert one of my old cheap CTC i3 printers into a CoreXY. I say "converting", but essentially I'm just cannibalizing what parts I can from it (most of which are things I replaced or upgraded already anyway, heh).

I've decided to try and come up with my own original design for a CoreXY printer, and this one will use the 220x220 aluminium bed that's currently sitting on a spare i3. Eventually, I want to scale this up to accommodate a 310x310 build plate for a much larger build volume.

To start with, to be able to figure out my overall size and how much space it would take up, I designed some Corner brackets for 2020 aluminium extrusion (of which I've just received 15 metres and need to find uses for it), but I'm going to need a few. So, I figured this would be a good test for the PLA+. There won't be so much heat at the corners and the PLA+ is stiffer than PETG while also not being as brittle as regular PLA.
