The Mosquito hotend from Slice Engineering is arguably the best all metal hotend's that you can purchase for your Creality 3d printer. Today, we install one on the Creality Ender 5. I chose to use a combo of the Mosquito Hotend, Slice High Temp Thermistor, Th3d Heater Cartridge, Slice Vandanium Nozzle and a HeroMe Gen5 to mount it with.

One benefit to the Mosquito hotend is the ability to print at high temps up to 450c. The design of this hotend also allows for easy, cold nozzle changes for super easy maintenance, which is one of my favorite features. The install is very quick and easy, and only takes a few things.

First, remove your stock hot end. Then, attach the mosquito to the stock x-gantry with your mount of choice. I used the Hero Me Gen5. Attach your heater cartridge, thermistor, nozzle, and PTFE tube. Then, adjust your firmware settings as needed (Thermistor #67 for the Slice High Temp Thermistor). Make sure to perform a PID test on the hot end to calibrate the heater/thermistor. Run a few test prints after to dial it in, and your good to go! Video coming soon on how to tune the Mosquito.
