Transferring textures from scans is part of our routine as a Texture Artist in Visual Effects. In the past, this task was often seen as difficult and tedious. Luckily, things have changed for the better over the past years, and I recently learned a technique that completely changed my scan transfer workflow.
In today's technical video, I share with you a quick tip I've learned with my great friend Rod on how to use Substance Designer to successfully transfer scan data into a new mesh with multiple UDIMS.
