Happy New Year! www.visionminer.com

Soon, you might be able to pick up a pair of 3D Printed skis or a snowboard. Stratasys, back in 2014, printed skis out of ULTEM 9085, which is one of the materials we use and sell here at Vision Miner. We've got other things you could print, from "shoe skis", RC Plane skis for all that wonder winterland flying, full-size snowboards, even boots.

Large Format 3D Printing is making General Electric wind turbines more powerful and more efficient! GE Renewables’ Haliade-X turbines are already the largest and most powerful in the world, capable of generating as much as 14 MegaWatts of energy. They've been limited by the difficulty of transporting such huge blades - The ability to 3D print the turbine’s concrete base on-site will enable the deployment of even larger systems.

Superstrata, the company founded by Arevo Labs to commercialize composite 3D printed bikes and e-bikes, has shipped the first Superstrata bike. The bike is a significant milestone as it is one of the very first continuous fiber-reinforced composites 3D printed consumer products ever to hit the market.

https://www.3dprintingmedia.network/xolo-presents-xube-volumetric-3d-printer/
Xolo presents Xube, the first commercial volumetric 3D printer -- well, at least for preorder. It's designed as an experimental tool -- for "xolography", a new form of vat polymerization. Basically, you've got the liquid resins, and they're projecting an entire image -- an entire print -- into the large vat, to literally print the entire part, at once.

DMG Mori recently launched the LASERTEC 6600 system to 3D print 4 meter-long metal parts! These guys, clearly, make HUGE machines -- and they're bringing DED (directed energy deposition) into a hybrid lathe/mill system, with a z-axis length of 4 METERS. You get DED, lasers, mills, and lathes all in one -- think rocket engines, oil-well popes, shafts for aircraft, the possibilities are huge.

Proper Printing on youtube -- this guy printed an entire RIM for his Mercedes -- it’s a multipart series, so check it out and see how far he’s come! Definitely check out that video. @Proper Printing
