I find this to be the best use for 3D printers- doing simple repairs at home and making a simple part you need to repair an expensive appliance or equipment instead of buying a new one. Using Fusion 360 or Freecad you can easily make a part like this with no prior experience. Print it out of PLA or ABS and you have a functional part manufactured at home!
