Designing my own 3D-printer: (Not so) Poor man's Core-XY [Part 9: Base]

This project started out as a ultra-low-cost Core-XY. Turns out...designing a printer is hard! Designing a super cheap printer is even harder. I pivoted the project to creating a "normal priced" Core-XY machine, so we can use standard parts!

Original project pitch:
I want to design my own 3D printer and to make things a bit more challenging I set myself a goal: The total bill of materials should be below 100€ / $110, including the 21% sales tax but excluding shipping costs and filament for the parts. To hit this goal, a lot of compromises have to be made and we need to be a bit creative! Of course, we want to have it as a Core-XY!

Starting from Part 6, I decided to drop the budget limit for now as we encountered some issues with my cheap parts! Let's make the printer print first and then start replacing the expensive parts with cheaper ones :)

The printer will use:
- World's cheapest stepper motors: 28BYJ-48
- Aluminum rods from the hardware store
- A 2nd-hand Ender 3 mainboard
- A 3D-printed bed
- 3D printer LM8UU bearings

I will update the BOM as we go!

This is of course more for fun and educational purposes than for making a high-end 3D-printer
