3D printing small gears on a large format Ultimaker S5 (330mm x 240mm x 300mm, or 13" x 9.4" x 11.8", build volume) 3D printer.

The smallest gear has a module of 1.25 and 8 teeth which results in a pitch radius of 5mm, is 2.4mm thick, and is smaller than a US 10 cent piece. To eliminate post 3D printing filling on these gears (to remove build plate "ooze"), all edges were chamfered to .4mm. The gears were sliced using the Ultimaker Cura 4.8.0 .1mm Engineering Profile and 3D printed on Ultimaker S5s using Ultimaker Metallic Silver PLA.

These gears were designed to be used in an upcoming model and were previously tested in my earlier transmission design here: https://youtu.be/KycMIk3yxyE.

More to come...

Designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced using Ultimaker Cura 4.8.0, and 3D printed in PLA on Ultimaker S5s.
